Britney Spears has sold her music catalogue to publishers Primary Wave in what is being called a "landmark deal." This deal includes her ownership share of hit songs such as Baby One More Time, Gimme More, I'm a Slave 4 U, Lucky, Sometimes, and Stronger.
Although the exact amount of the deal has not been disclosed, sources suggest it is comparable to the $200 million agreement Justin Bieber made when he sold his music. It is presumed that Britney's artist royalties and publishing rights were part of the deal, but her name and likeness rights may not have been included.
The 44-year-old singer, reportedly happy with the sale, has been enjoying time with her sons following the agreement. Britney recently declared that she will not perform in the US again due to personal reasons but expressed a desire to perform in the UK and Australia with her son in the future.
Britney, a mother of two sons, Jayden and Preston, with ex-husband Kevin Federline, previously praised Jayden's piano skills in a social media post, showcasing her admiration for her son's talent.
Britney's last concert dates in the US were part of her 2018 Piece of Me tour, which followed her successful Las Vegas residency from 2013 to 2017. Her planned Domination shows in Las Vegas in 2019 were canceled due to family issues, with Britney emphasizing the importance of caring for her family during that time.
Despite the hiatus from performing, Britney's fans continue to show her love and support, eagerly awaiting her return to the stage.
